Captains Kiah Colbert and Jack Wulbern share a passion for fishing and the outdoors, bringing knowledge, energy, and a commitment to making every trip unforgettable. Whether you’re chasing trophy fish offshore or enjoying a family-friendly day on the reef, our team is here to deliver a safe, fun, and action-packed adventure on the water.

Captain

Kiah Colbert

Born in New Boston, New Hampshire, Kiah Colbert has been fishing his whole life. In 2013, he moved to Key West to turn that lifelong passion into a career on the water. Over the years, Kiah has run all types of sportfishing boats and center consoles, gaining the knowledge and hands-on experience that make him a trusted captain and mate. He earned his captain’s license in 2017 and has spent the past six years as First Mate aboard the Outer Limits, where he’s known for his hard work, skill, and dedication to every trip. Today, as the owner of Florida Straits Sportfishing, Kiah brings together years of offshore experience and a deep love for the ocean, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy world-class fishing in the Florida Keys.

Captain

Jack Wulbern

Captain Jack earned his captain’s license in July 2021 and has been on the water full-time ever since. He first ran an 18’ Paramount for Sunset Watersports, where he led trips from July 2021 through December 2022. From there, he joined Fish Monster in Key West, running a 27’ World Cat and guiding light tackle reef and wreck fishing charters from December 2022 to November 2023.



Each winter since 2022, Captain Jack has also fished commercially for King Mackerel off the waters of Key West aboard a 28’ Contender. In addition, he spent the 2024 season running eco tours with Barefoot Billy’s on a 25’ Bennington, sharing the beauty of the Keys with visitors from around the world.


Today, Captain Jack is at the helm of a 32’ SeaVee with Florida Straits Sport Fishing Charters, where he specializes in reef, wreck, offshore, and tarpon fishing adventures.


When he’s not running charters, you’ll still find him outdoors—whether fishing of all kinds, free diving, scuba diving, or backpacking. His passion for the water and the outdoors shines through in every trip, giving his guests both memorable experiences and expert guidance.
